Abstract

Educational psychology research is a science that studies the basic psychological laws of teaching and learning in educational and teaching situations. It mainly studies the psychological process of the interaction between teachers and students teaching and learning in educational and teaching situations, and the psychological phenomena in the process of teaching and learning. The study of educational psychology plays an important role in the education of students in higher education. Use the theory of educational psychology to optimize the educational system to effectively improve the teaching effect. Based on the theory of psychological research and the psychological characteristics of college students, this paper analyzes the necessity of carrying out educational psychology research, summarizes the psychological characteristics of college students, and summarizes and discusses various teaching methods that can be used in course teaching according to actual teaching experience, including scientific and effective teaching organization, good at using incentive strategies, understanding the characteristics of teaching objects and assuming classroom roles. I hope this paper can provide some reference for the application of educational psychology research in higher education.
