Abstract

With the application of information technology in teaching, virtual simulation experiment teaching has become an important part of higher education information construction and experimental teaching demonstration center construction. Building a virtual language environment based on virtual reality technology is possible to achieve a better educational effect. This paper introduces the current situation of College English virtual simulation experiment teaching, explores the application of virtual simulation in foreign language teaching, and constructs a virtual simulation experimental teaching project for cross-cultural communication in College English. Students learn the English language and culture through three modules: animation demonstration, scene virtual, and human-computer interaction. On this basis, four application strategies of English virtual experiment teaching are put forward. The results show that the college English virtual simulation experiment teaching project can promote students intercultural communication skills, communication strategies, establish multicultural values and enhance their cultural confidence. The paper could provide a reference for designing and implementing college English virtual simulation experiments.
