Metaverse, Ideological and Political Education of Higher Education, Opportunities Innovation

Abstract

Intelligent digitalization is classified as a distinctive symbol for higher education to embark on modernization and as an indispensable factor to drive its modernized governance. Reform and development over higher education empowered by the metaverse has been putting into practice by foreign colleges and universities, which has accumulated practical experience. The metaverse presents a collection of multiple advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, meta-computing, virtual simulation, Internet of Things and Augmented Reality. Based on this, it enjoys stronger system function and more advanced technologies. Additionally, this virtual world is characterized by immersive experience, human-computer interaction together with interconnection between the virtual world and the physical world. These create infinite possibilities for providing immersive teaching environment, narrowing time and space boundaries inside and outside the class, widening fields of situational teaching practice and render-ing intelligent evaluations supported by multi-dimensional data. These progresses brought by the metaverse, obviously, embrace critical practical significance and value of times for boosting the quality and influence of higher education.
