College English, Course for Ideological and Political Education, Construction of Resources Database

Abstract

College English is not only a language course, a tool for language communication, but also a course containing different cultures. There are a variety of contents and topics introduced in the course. Under the environment “overall ideological and political education mode”, in order to ensure that the teaching content meets the teaching objectives and the teaching resources support the teaching content, it is necessary to build a scientific, systematic and dynamic resources database of college English for ideological and political education. A resources database with three modules (China culture, professional quality and water culture) based on the three characteristics (course characteristics, students’ learning characteristics and college-based features) is built to promote the implementation of curriculum reform, improve the teaching quality of College English, do a good job in the ideological and political education of students, achieve the goal of high-quality education, and cultivate talents with both ability and moral integrity.
