Primary and Secondary Schools, Physical Education, Present Situation and Development

Abstract

Primary and secondary school students are in adolescence, and physical educa-tion in adolescence is of great significance to students’ physical and mental health and the development of sports spirit. However, because many teachers lack professional ideas in physical education or can’t accurately grasp the guiding opinions given by the Education Bureau, the overall work of physical education is in a “sub-health” state. This paper analyzes the present situation and future development of physical education in primary and secondary schools, and analyzes the significance of physical education in primary and secondary schools, which can not only exercise students’ bodies, but also improve the co-hesion between students. This paper also analyzes the problems existing in the current physical education in primary and secondary schools, such as insufficient attention to physical education and difficulty in unifying curriculum planning, hoping to provide some guidance and reference for the development of physical education in primary and secondary schools.
